While reading your post, I remembered how uberdweeb Peter Meijer shut down a burlesque troupe touring through Grand Rapids because he wanted to infantilize disabled performers. I'm grateful the world has people like you to tell him to stfu.
Simply reading that just gets me so fired up. THIS is EXACTLY what I'm hoping to help with. Maybe not directly with that dummy, but with the people and the families that this kind of though process impacts.
It infuriates me to see people with intellectual disabilities treated like children and this is the most egregious. You're telling me adults who raised funds and traveled across the world, and practiced a drag show for hours on end, DID NOT consent to that? Ok buddy.
The BEST part of that argument is that typically conservatives want to protect kids from drag shows when it suits them, but this wasn't even about kids. We now need to protect drag performers....from themselves?
